With an exceptional talent for the avente garde Judy produces stunning bespoke garments using the finest Scottish wools and Harris Tweed- courtesy of her family’s loom at Shawbost on the Isle of Lewis. Her distinctive work – which secured a coveted internship with Alexander McQueen, marry a playful glamour with exquisite artisanal qualities. Hailing from the Highlands and now working form her studio in Edinburgh, this fast rising designer has recently been nominated Designer of the Year at this year’s Scottish Style Awards where she showcased her new collection ‘Frock Coats and High Hats’. The collection which features tweed panels embroidered with the Gaelic language, bustles and layers of lace. The Designer has also been showcasing her wears in New York at Sachs on Fifth Avenue and Japan this year.
