EDIT March 2016: After a long hiatus I'm back on MM to reinvigorate my portrait portfolio. I'm an experienced full time photographer in a number of fields but I love portraits with big colour and combining flash with sunset skies to create eye-popping images.

I'm happy to do T4* gigs with the right people where I generally supply 5-10 processed images depending on the length of the shoot.

Having gone full-time with my photography at the beginning of '08, my original photographic passions were cityscapes and landscapes. I'm now much more interested in people, with their endless capacity for expression and inevitable opportunity for surprises.

My main goal here is to increase and improve my portrait portfolio with more creative images. I love shooting subjects within a landscape or environment that contributes to the image or says something about the subject... perhaps something that others may not know. It's also a way of combining portraits with my still existing love of landscapes.

One of my biggest weaknesses is human composition (aka 'posing') and I'm hoping that I can learn more here.

I'm friendly, fair, relaxed, positive, trustworthy, professional and reliable, though unfortunately I tend to have a low tolerance for those who aren't. Philosophically, I question everything but believe there does not always need to be a reason why. My feet are firmly planted on the ground but I want my ashes spread through space. I believe the bad stuff shows us how good the good stuff is. I love the isolation of photographing landscapes but I use the camera as a way to meet people.

My previous professional background is in audio production for radio, which I'd done commercially for around 12 years, though photography was always a passion during this time. After starting a photography business in Sep 2006, I took the plunge and left audio production in early 2008 to give my photography the time and attention it needed and deserved. Leaving the comfort and security of a full time job was risky, but now the only regret is having not done it sooner.
