Friends (3099)About Me
I have been taking photos since my service as a U.S. Navy Intelligence Photographer. I have since shifted my focus from Soviet ships, and aircraft as well as the beauty of the 14 countries I spent time in throughout the Far East. I have worked in photography in a semi-professional capacity for 32+ years now. I have a degree in T.V. Production, and worked in the Chicago T.V. market for ten years. I have many years of experience with professional models, and modeling agencies. This is not a commercial venture, purely an artistic one. Anyone who want fresh portfolio photos, or anyone pursuing a modeling career. Photography is something I have done for a long time, and have been told I have a natural gift for composition. My portfolio speaks for itself, view my work and be the judge. I believe in genuine, honest, non-synthetic photographs, free of too much corruption. In other words I use manipulation very sparingly. I use Photo shop to adjust very little, and never use filters and effects.
I feel 95% of the finished image should be born when the shutter snaps. This is a matter of character and integrity to which I am held to in all my art forms. I believe the farther away you get from the original image, the farther you stray from the truth. It is a stance that sets me apart from 99% of the industry photographers. Those working to someone elses standards, and not their own. I answer to no one, and do it for the Love of the art form. My photos may not be as corrupted as others work... they are honest. I have found that many new young models have a skewed perception that good photographs have to be taken in a studio mostly due to fantasy T.V. programs like "Top Model". It is easy to take photos in a studio where you can control all the light, and environmental conditions. Yet synthetic light makes every model under them look the same...Synthetic. Why go inside to try and reproduce perfect light when you have it outside? Sunlight is true light, and reveals the "real" person inside and out. So I work outdoors primarily, or indoor spaces with lots of big windows and natural light. I have mastered sunlight, and outdoor work... this also sets me apart from the majority of the industry. This is the hardest path one can travel in the world of commercial photography, and I do it consciously. "Art cannot exist without suffering... usually the more the suffering the better the art". The harder the path the truer the direction, as a result the universe will force you to be honest. I am seeking new models with photogenic qualities, to create gallery level photographs in an honest fashion. To help new models build their portfolios with a unique approach. I need models who are naturally comfortable in front of the camera. Beauty is only one part of the equation, you have to be comfortable in your own skin too. I work for the sake of the art form. Creating something interesting, and beautiful is what makes life worth being a part of. It is also a way to leave a legacy that will mark my time here. Other Art Forms I Invest My Time In... Singing, Songwriting, Acoustic Guitar, Poetry, Authoring Books, T.V. Producing, and Inventing! Here is my latest world changer... If you are interested in working with me, send a message. I can answer any questions you have, and arrange a photo shoot. I have 30 years of references upon request. *** Escort Policy... I have no problem with escorts, as long as once we start working there are no distractions like chit chat, advice or direction. If you want good photos you have to focus on the lens, and trust my direction & judgement. Distracted models usually result in bad photos, and I want you to get the best photos you can get. So as long as we are given "space" to work (50 feet plus). Because I work "orbiting" a posed model in a 360 degree arc for variety of angles on the location. If an escort is too close they will end up in the background, and ruin the shot. As long as the work is "un-affected" by the presence of the escort... I have no problem with you bringing someone along. Lorraine Modeling is currently using one of the shots from our waterfall shoot for her main avatar photo below, first spot in top 12 :) Verified Credits (0)Worked with Lightcicle Arts?
