I'm Mike. I've been a photographer for five years now—it's truly a drive. To learn it's history, techniques, inspirations, and power. Over the past two years retouching and general enhancements has become more and more important in my workflow. Anywhere from portrait retouching, to color correction, selective detail enhancement, to compositing—all of which I aim to perform with the highest quality.

I have taken the time to learn from professionals through various ways; online and off. While I don't find most retouching difficult, I make it difficult by setting high standards for my work. If it looks fake or obvious, I start again. If I don't know how to do something, I find out how and I don't stop until it becomes second nature.

Right now I am looking to work along side other photographers or studios in an assisting role. Either with the initial photo shoots or later with retouching.

My current workflow consists of Lightroom* for all of my organization and initial edits, then into Photoshop for any further enhancements or modifications. I am also familiar with the Nik Software line of plugins as well as Photomatix. *Aperture is just as nice as Lightroom, but I have been using Lightroom longer and have been spoiled by it's automatic DNG conversion. That being said, most of Aperture is quite similar and easily enough to grasp.
