"There is no right or wrong way or rules that say how make- up should be done.  Make-up does not come with instructions! We hold the power within us to embrace our artistry and use it to our advantage," states Hernan Rivera. Hernan works hard to ensure his vision stays fresh, and his make-overs are radiant and edgy, yet tasteful. He has been a make -up artist for a number of years now, embracing his amazing talent which came to him naturally.  He is a big believer in extenuating the outer beauty with a touch of magic.  He began his career as a make-up artist working for Marshall Field’s at their Chanel Counter where he  won a peer driven award becoming the  Make-up artist of the season twice, shortly after he joined Chanel working with their regional artist team for the Chicago land area.  Today you can find Hernan working his magic in different events throughout the Chicago land area.  Hernan’s entrepreneurial skills have helped him develop great partnerships with many renowned artists in different runway projects around the Chicago area such as Elite’s 25th anniversary, Miss Teen and Miss Illinois Pageants 2007 & 2008, 2 Univision’s segment “Para ti Mujer,” channel 7 Chicagoing, among others.  Celebrities that Hernan has worked with include: Jasline Gozales (America’s Next Top Model), Michelle Alegria (190 N. Chicago), Sylvia Perez (Channel 7 News), Tisk-Tisk-ki (Telemundo Reporter), IreneB (Global Spaniard R&B singer), Senator Iris Martinez just to name a few.  Hernan Rivera is currently a board member for Chicago Latino Fashion Week as the Make-Up director. He is also working on developing his own cosmetics line to be launched in 2009.
