I am a Los Angeles based portrait photographer who grew up in Kansas in a very clean single-wide trailer home in the country outside a small town. My family didn't own a television so we watched tornadoes. None of my dogs were ever named Toto. My dream as a kid was to be an artist and live in California. My heroes were Dolly Parton and my mother. My idea of glamour was a mixture of the '30s and '40s Hollywood stars I saw in books and the '80s icons featured in the National Enquirer.
