Passages through time...

I was born in the Adirondack Mountains of New York, a beautiful, but unbelievably cold part of the country. Then a move to Southeastern Arizona as a young boy, opened up a whole new world at a time when westerns filled many of the evening television slots.  There in a tiny trailer park near the OK Corral and in the wide-open spaces surrounding Tombstone and Sierra Vista, I found a need to be outdoors where everywhere I turned landscape formed art and art trembled at the thought of ever equaling landscape.  Not that stick figure cowboys and horses were art, but passions grow where openness and unbridled spirit runs free. Today, capturing the beauty found in landscape, portrait or figure remains a challenge.

Careers and personal journeys have allowed travel to places around the world and new, exciting experiences that will hopefully make it to pad, canvas or written page. Images from those travels dance around in my head and talk among themselves on how they will influence the next creation.  Hearing and seeing is probably much of the secret. Listening is critical.
