You are right. It was film, and it was negative film: Fuji 64 tungsten.

This poor girl died of a drug overdose just a few months after I worked with her. She was 19. She was blasted on cocaine during the shoot.

I was slow to post this shot, but decided that showing her in the flower of youth is a tribute, not a disrespect.

I can't recall if this was shot on 35mm or on 6x6 cm. But I do remember the film.

Mesmerizing combination of formal, flat symmetry and undirected model pose. Nice complicity with the girl. Soothing stuff.

The whole paradox of photography.

As you mention you shoot on film; the slightly pinkish highlights, I would guess this to have been shot with a negative emultion. But the contrast speaks more of a positive. My odds are 50%, so there's no merit here in guessing anything. It just reminds me that there's this lovely 'glacis' effect with film.
