I’m offering my serious critique/opinion of your work. I will not sugar-coat things; I’m going to tell you exactly what I think of your portfolio and profile. PS. I hate fake blood and props... if either are in your port don’t expect much. I also HAAAAATE duckfaces and cellphone mirror shots, don't bother ask for a critique if you have them.

Your studio work is strong, I would be very confident in hiring you for a studio shoot. This shot throws your port off IMO... it's dull, soft focus, lots of distraction in the background. Same goes with this shot, distracting background. Overall your studio work is good, but your portfolio seems stretched with a few weak images. 30 of your best shots could create an incredibly strong port.

Some of it is dirty, some of it is beautiful, some of it is boring, some of it is interesting. 95 pics is a lot, with at least half of them shot the same baisc way - hardwood floor, baseboard, wall, naked girl in front. It almost could be considered a style, but the consistency isn't there... it's kind of all over the place, especialy with the post work. It's hard to tell if the shots are a result of your vision or if you just tell let the model do their thing and you take their picture...

Your portfolio is kind of scattered though and does not give off the same professional vibe. First of all there are too many pictures. You have 12 pictures (or close to it) shot at the location with brick walls and hardwood floors scattered throughout your portfolio (very cool spot by the way). I think if you cut that down to 8, and organized them in two rows grouped together they would display nicer. If you organized your portfolio like you organized your profile the overall impact of your work would be much stronger.

GabrielleEC wrote: I would definitely love some serious critique I like your first 5 pictures along with these: They display some pretty awesome posing capability, along with a variety unique creative concepts. The others suffer from flat lighting, poor post work (zebra mask shot), poor composition, distracting background (shot with knife), harsh lighting (lightning bolt earing), and so on. The 8 shots I mentioned above are on a different level than the others.

It has seemed natural to me to group images of a type in the past but that drew criticism. Nonetheless I'm drawn to that approach and I appreciate your confirming my instinct on this. And yes I do realize it's too many images It is very hard for me to edit down - I tend to get attached to some of them - mostly for the models and their work. Thank you again Gregor

Red Baron Photography wrote: bring it on The red wall worked, it provided a nice contrast it looks like you had some nice even light for those shots, no hot spots, not distractions in the backgrounds, shows potential for some quality glamour work. Other than that I don't really find your work all that interesting. I noticed you shoot down on your models a fair bit... extreme angles such as this will distort the model which is a bad thing, especially if it makes them look short and squashed.

I use it to help direct my models. Make a list similar and practice poses and expressions. A small portfolio is fine, but it has to be awesome! Show us your awesomeness!

zoe chanel wrote: Could you do me? Ditch the grafitti shots... they are out of focus and a distracting background is a bad background. I made the mistake when I first started, did a shoot against grafitti because I thought it was cool... it very rarely works. I love this, casual, beautiful, great hair I think you could really benefit from a pro shoot. The soft shots are cool, but they don't give your portfolio the POP it needs to catch my attention. A good, clear, full length shot that shows off your figure would help out as well.

Keep doing what you are doing because it's one of a kind and it's awesome.

KCLynne wrote: I'm game Beautiful smile! It's tough for me to critique you, because for the most part the shots in your port are more about the location. I'm all about cool locations, and wide artistic shots... but as a model you need some shots that focus on you. Get some tighter portrait shots in your portfolio and you will be rockin!

Well there is one photo with a bit of fake blood in my portfolio so I don't know what you'll think of me, but I'm still interested to hear it.
