As for "Tips" on booking gigs?
Have you considered Mayhem's Search feature to locate photographers in your market?
One thing that nearly all successful commercial models have in common is an ability to simply ignore rejection and continuously seek out and ask photographers who's portfolio have a theme/narrative that appeals to you. Then message them and ask if they would like to work on a collaborative with you.

You have lovely facial features, a radiant smile and sparkling eyes.
Maybe see if you can find makeup artists and/or hair stylist that would be amenable doing a "traded collaboration" for a Beauty Genre narrative.
