Hi MM Community: I am on a photography journey that was interrupted at 21 when I started a family and 32 years later I dove head first back into my old passion. The work below is just a sample of some of my work so far. I recently acquired all the tools I think I need to get to the next level including three Profoto strobes. a 85mm f/1.2 portrait lens. But the following was with an old Nikon D810 with a 85MM F/1.4 with before mentioned strobes and giant softboxes.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on the three below.

You need to work on it, I don't think the few pictures you showed express what you want to do? The capture of the female body? It’s still a commercial portrait, there is no very clear expression, but one thing, your exposure, as well as the choice of photography accessories, are suitable for you to start over

The first image has been deleted.
The second has great lines and shadows, definitely a 3D look. It's pleasant to see a body scape in rich color.
The third has wonderful skin tone so rarely seen in B&W.

Stephen Dubois my question to you is what is you old passion?
Only two of the URL's pulled up images... Neither of which speak of a specific genre...

As for your kit? Stephen it's not the kit... It is the esthetic of the images it produces.
Who do you envision are your potential clients?  Rest assured that Agency Bookers are not looking for Fine Art Nudes.

It has been my humble experience that "to get to the next level" Stephen you need to work with Agency Talent... and a full team i.e. Hair and Makeup stylist... and depending on your clients wardrobe stylist etc.
This is a bare minimum... Having agency talent in your book validates your attainment level...

I have to smile at your inference of an "an old Nikon D810 with a 85mm f/1.4" surely you jest...
both images you showcase are Studio Images that certain don't need and/or benefit from fast glass...
Virtually no Agency Booker is interested in your kit, only in how many Tear Sheets are in your Book.

Best advice? Get human hair mannequins (at least 24" length) and practice extensively on them before you try shooting with models in real-time. This has worked extremely well for me and other's I've mentored...

Check with Wedding Wire to find Hair Stylist and Makeup artist in your market... Develop a solid relationship with local team members... Often they will collaborate for high quality Beauty Genre imagery...
Speak of which this is the strongest image in your book... More like this, actually many more like this...

It is imagery like this that will garner you the support your seriously need at this juncture.

Here is the Woman's Board of a Model  Agency in your market... https://www.ikonicmanagement.com/women
Maybe review Isabella's book https://www.ikonicmanagement.com/copy-of-isabella-3
She has some nude images in the aforementioned if that is where your passion is... albeit there is virtual no money in shooting nudes... Unless it is for a Beauty Genre Campaign... Also Agency Bookers aren't interest in photographers who shoot glamour... it is totally over saturated... zero demand.  The longer you stay in this craft the sooner you'll discover this.

Tear Sheets Stephen... Get Published... to do this you'll need to work with a full team...
Wishing you much joy and success on your journey Stephen Dubois...

Cheers Thomas
