I don't understand the attraction to this method in this case at least.

It washes out the skin-color in the first set for a hard-to-perceive benefit, and achieves a trivial and uninteresting result in the second set. It seems it could all be more easily accomplished in post-production, and in a much more controlled and effective way, by working with a digital original image,

If the unpredictability is the attraction, I've seen much more interesting effects in doing Polaroid manipulations or, again, with radical digital post-production adjustments.

I especially like the first one, with the continuity/harmony of green in the eyes, dress, and background... also the added pop of orange and red colors!
The last two, not so much.

I have some Lomography 100 colour film in 35mm, this is supposed to be good but I haven't used it yet.
