Outdated photos are not all that useful. I will always want to see more recent images. So I bounce around on many platforms in looking for models to work with.  Modelmayhem is still a good place to start, but often times a connection here means we'll exchange links to other websites.  I'm still old school as I don't consider a photo session booked until we've spoken on the phone to confirm it.  Even then, catfishing still happens every once in awhile. In my opinion, no one should depend on one platform alone for confirming a person is who you will want to work with. Google that person!

Yep,,it's really strange here now days. Posted a photo of a male in laborers work clothes, zipper exposed chest just above waist.  It got marked as 'mature'.   For women , the site offers a way to join 'free' and be limited to 50 pics . They just dump older ones and hopefully update with new. BUT I've found that some went really FAST from just topless, to full nude in months, and got hundreds of photographer friends, then favorite ones who kept them busy, and don't post up much of their work. It's all sold off in 'private purchases, and a few have within 6 months moved on to doing full porn vids and pics that again are kept secret with no mention, links to them on MM.  No OnlyFans or Patreon, just unknown private links through certain photographers to do their porn work month after month, with no need for MM any longer to post or update.  That's how it seems to be working for some.   They check in, add more photographers but do no updates of pics to profiles.

I think it's a shame that many photographers enter the POTD daily to show their work, often win, but never EVER give the MM name or credit to the model we are admiring.  Selfish? Or just kind of 'ownership ' thing,,,I don't get it.  Whatever written agreements on photo rights between model and photographer must differ quite a big between the many models and photographers on this site.
           As for the models who never seem to upload new MM pics from their many favorite photographers,,, I found out the hard way that some are not very interested here anymore when they start making big money from a select group of preferred photographers.  Private shoots and private collector sales, so both benefit big.   Some models also have a secret porn career going strong, or big  $$ coming in from OnlyFans,etc.  So what use is simple modeling connection from Mayhem good for?    I showed too much concern over a friend 'lost' for months, and ended up being accused of all sorts of dumb things,  'Trump style 'alternative facts' in the accusations made,  instead of a simple response back months ago as had been asked for,,,,,like:  'I've chosen to go another route for now..Thanks and best wishes".   I didnt' need personal details; that's her business..  But it would have been nice instead of discovering the big career change one day by chance and then having my character attacked.   I think some are directed to shut up, cut off communication by over possessive photographers too.  Such a shame.

I gave up on CL because every ad I put up (under "gigs" etc.) would get flagged off within 24 hours.

New generation models are getting work through places like Instagram that they're already familiar with, has an excellent App and is free. The MM app is a joke and the mobile version of the site isn't much better. The only advantages MM has over Instagram are that the models are more reliable and I can search by location. But even sites like AF have a staggeringly better user interface and has the same core features that MM has.

Unfortunately I have not had good luck with MM and no shows, another one this weekend calls in a the last minute to cancel. i am getting some more contacts from MM but they refer me to IG and ask me, do you have an IG page to look at. I have finally relented and just put my images on IG. I would rather post here but it is not working and everyone is on IG, models and photographers.
