I am hosting again as when it started .
I removed some of the lamer rules as well and added new ones that make sense to me right now and how I can behere to run it , will be adding a new co-host asap...

Welcome to MM's Digital Art of the Week !!!

THIS WEEKS THEME IS : artists choice

Every other week there will be a theme pertaining to entries , please keep with that theme , otherwise it is any digitally edited artwork .

PLEASE READ RULES BEFORE YOU ENTER .
Brand New Hours of Operation:. Contest entries run from Sunday at midnight Eastern time to Friday at 6pm eastern time . Voting will Begin on Friday at midnight eastern time and end Sunday at 6pm eastern time . Contest winner will be announced on Sunday by no later than 10 pm eastern time and enteries will begin again on Sunday again at midnight eastern time .

Voting does not start until: midnight eastern Time on friday. EACH CONTEST WEEK!

NOTE TO PARTICIPANTS : I will be adding a winners Gallery also this week to post images that have won so we can all keep track . thank you all !

PLEASE READ RULES BEFORE YOU ENTER .

IMPORTANT: RULES

1. One entry per person per day.
2. One vote per person per day.
3. No bumping your entry.
4. No vote stacking or asking for other MM members to vote for you.
5. Voting starts at 12 am Fridays .
6. No voting for an image you participated in creating.
7. To vote, quote the entry you wish to vote for and type "Vote".
8. Mature 18 + images are allowed but must contain a link and not the actual image posted.
9. Photo Artwork must be digital art.
10. Unlike some contests you may post a story to go along with your work.
11. If you enter, you are expected to vote. It's common courtesy! If you do not vote you entry is invalid .
12. No re-entering a picture that has already won.
13. You should post with your entry what medium (software used) and how you processed the artwork (example : Photo, new background, Painted etc, or Oil painted, photoshop etc.). If you do not post how you processed it (steps taken) and the medium, you may be disqualified.
14. You must include an actual PHOTO of a person that YOU participated in creating (as photographer or digital artist ). No 3d characters as the main focus.
15. Hosts may also enter the contest as they wish and also must vote .
16. If no enteries are made the week of a paticular contest than the next week will start over the next week fresh . If there is only one entry with or without votes that person will win the contest and be placed at the top of the thread for that week !
17. If we have a tie bettween two persons entries then both win . If it is more than two , moderation will make a decision on who will win with a tie breaker vote .

THE EXPLANATION OF HOW THE IMAGE IS PROCESSED IS A VITAL PART OF THIS CONTEST.

ACCEPTED ENTRIES:

1. Photomanipulation (ie. Changed as if adding object, extracting, new background, elements etc.) Describe in detail.

2. Painting Digitally(oil or anything else.)

3 . A photo that has the same elements but is then rendered into a different photo, for example adding a third person, a castle and changing colors and hand painting it.

4. Drawing in photoshop, painter etc...Describe in detail.

NOT ACCEPTED ENTRIES:

1. Photos right out of camera.

2. Photos only changed in color, saturation or corrections.

3. Retouches (skin changes, smoothing and blurring, removal of blemishes and changing the overall color of background, clothes
etc....)

4. Simple copy and paste onto background.

5. Images created using copyrighted imagery from another individual, company, etc. No game screen shots.

Please follow these. If anyone submits images that are violating the rules we will disqualify it from the contest.
