I'm Dallas based and hosted a photo shoot for 6 tween girls as a part of a birthday celebration.  Hired two makeup artist to do really quick makeovers for these kids.  One artist had a TFP casting and the other was referred by a friend.  Though the lady had the casting I offered her $50 along with images for the 10 or so minutes she would be spending with each of the three that she would be working with and she agreed.  However she Flaked and was a no show.  Fortunately the friend of the friend showed up and I did pay her even though she was doing it as a favor.  So was the $50 potentially an insult?  I don't understand rates but was I being unreasonable?  Obviously I won't put her on blast out here, but this really disturbs me, especially if I look to do something else like this in the future. Thoughts?
