I ordered the new iPad and I cannot wait to get it! I've always wanted iPad but after using iPhone 4, the iPad 2 display looked so pixelated so I waited for iPad with Retina Display. The fact that Apple could make it happen is just amazing. A lot don't seem to appreciate the enormous complexity involved in making Retina for a 9.5" display. It requires MORE back light. It takes FOUR times more processing power. And it requires MORE power. Yet Apple is able to pack SO much power inside iPad - TWICE MORE battery energy - than its previous batteries without doubling the weight. That's a stunning achievement. In fact, if Apple makes iPad 2 with the new battery, it would probably last for at least 20 hours. Kudos to Apple!

My thing are those that troll and aren't looking at the entire picture here. That's it. Apple's technology has been a benefit without a question, but so have the others as well as helped give Apple that extra boost when they (Android for example) jumped on the smart phone boat. It's like I'd pointed out to the person that I was replying to before the thread got turned around, tablet systems are not dated. People will continue to use them until they don't or can't use them. Most of that has to do with the other competition making their own version, if be better or (that's the choice of the consumer to make) not. Once we see people doing this like we have when the Android phones came out, then you'll see them abandon their older tablets, similar to those that got rid of their non smart phones for Android and Apples. And proof in my point, most own Android phones.

It's somewhat like the whole Windows/Mac thing. I'm sure Android will "win" in the end, but Apple will be the (or one of the) most popular manufacturers and will remain the most profitable. There's easily room for both platforms in the market, and room for both Windows Phone and RIM, actually. All the fanboy rage is kind of silly.

ASYLUM - Photo wrote: It's somewhat like the whole Windows/Mac thing. All the fanboy rage is kind of silly. EXACTLY. Like someone wrote earlier - these threads always start when there's an Apple thread - and before very long the haters get in and start turning the thread into a hate/love thing. As you write - VERY SILLY. However, stating cold FACTS is not a fanboy thing - it is just setting the record straight - but of course by the haters that is taken as a "fanboy" thing. I've always wondered what it is that drives these people. Jealousy? Insecurity? My youknowwhat has to be bigger than yours? This thread is a shining example why I stopped contributing on the forums.
