I am not a pro but just starting with retouching. I used to get my pictures retouched from someone else but its difficult to get them tweaked as per my taste. Did fairly simple things on the image below after basic WB correction and blemish removal ... 1. skin smoothened using surface blur in a layer and then erased the portions where details needed to be retained. 2. Bumped up the contrast/saturation for eyes/brows and lips using layer mask Let me know if this is not up to the mark or overdone, and will appreciate any suggestions on any better techniques for skin/eyes/lips. When I move my cheap laptops screen to change the contrast, I can see that the skin is not really softened and could use some evening but still looks good enough May 25 10 07:30 am Link Try combining the two techniques here... http://web.me.com/joelgrimes/Joel_Grime … thing.html Use the 'contouring' tutorial on this site http://www.christyschuler.com/retouching.html May 25 10 07:33 am Link Koray wrote: Pardon me for my ignorance .. but what is evening? Looking at the links mentioned above and will try to follow the process in the next set of pictures.
