for makeup artists mainly
I'm thinking of buying a makeup kit to give my DIL something to learn from and practice on. She does pretty good with her own makeup and I think she'd do okay with most models. She referred me to a cousin of her SIL or someone like that who's a real MUA and who works in a salon. She gave me a catalog from ColoreScience and picked out a bunch of products that we can start with. It looks like the prices are pretty high, but hey, what do I know about this stuff? I was just wondering if any of our MUA's were familiar with the brand. Paul Feb 10 06 11:37 am Link you may want to post this on the stylist forum. Feb 10 06 11:50 am Link I didn't know we had one. Maybe Brian will move it for me. Paul Hey BRIAN! Feb 10 06 11:51 am Link Ok I will play Brian for a sec. Time for some study! Paul Feb 11 06 02:51 pm Link Paul, Also the Make-up Designory sells a premade kit that is pretty good for somebody starting out. I still have some of the items in my kit. But it makes for easy one stop shopping. http://www.mudshop.com/Merchant2/mercha … _Code=1050 I think that MAC does too, but it is considerably more expensive. Rachel Feb 11 06 04:42 pm Link Boy, this stuff gets into some money! $911 to start out with. That's a lot more than my budget will stand. But thanks for the idea. Feb 14 06 12:50 pm Link Paul Ferrara wrote: If this is a gift you may want to just give her a professional brush set. Make sure its a good one though You can get them for under $100.00 Feb 14 06 02:30 pm Link Paul, the MAC one is under $500. But it's only available to students. Feb 17 06 12:59 pm Link |
