Nattan, site rules prohibit this type of post.  Posting a vote for me link in this thread is considered both off topic and thread hijacking.  Posting links of a vote for me nature anywhere in the forums is considered spam, even when it's a thread you yourself start.  You may post this information on your own profile page, but nowhere else on the site.

Welcome to the forums!

BEWARE of a girl whose name is "Reggie Dhrty" she is a stand in and the name is a fake. I am a victim of an online scam for child porn. Fortunately my mother was keeping an eye on what seemingly was a legit webcam interview and shoot for a so called artist. These scammers had it set up with a girl with a Facebook page and when I met her on Skype it was the girl on the Facebook profile pic. I was promised $80 per half an hour and gave her 40 min, however before completing my mother told me to provide payment before continuing. What my mother didn't know, while in the privacy of my room and via webcam, against my mothers direction they were having me pose nude and doing sexual positions and more. I was stuck, I didn't know how to just quit.As I was trying to keep them online til the police arrived I had mentioned I couldn't continue until the little girl I was babysitting was picked up. They immediately inquired of her age and asked to have her pose with me, not to tell her the web cam is on and have her try on some of my clothes so to get some video of this young girl. Of course I would NEVER even think of doing something like that. With further research my mom found where this person or persons were once on Model Mayhem but have since been removed but they still visit and pick their victims. The police have been alerted and a report filed with the FBI. PLEASE! Be Careful and not TRUST anyone! If it sounds to good and easy to be true it probably isn't. BE SAFE!

I am llamaing for a while,but new to mm.Great guide,thanks to creator!
I can only ad (not even ad just say all over again) that i find forums can become time wasters if you get in argument and try to prove your point, use them  for information and when you find what you looking for move on and deal with daily duties, check casting calls, clean house or have a facial mask for sake of your own beauty, don't spend time and nerves on proving something.

Welcome to my survival guide for MM newbies. This thread contains some tips and advices especially useful for people who are new to Model Mayhem. This thread will not help you become successful. This thread is designed only to help you stay out of trouble.

The guide contains mostly tips for people who are fairly new to modeling. Some tips are for models only, while some are universal and apply to photographers and stylists as well. There are two main components at this time.

1. Bio Do's and Dont's - talks about what are some of the things to avoid when you write your bio, as well as some other tips.

2a. The Ecology of MM Forums - learn the types of creatures that post in the forums.

2b. Basic Forum Survival Tips - avoid getting torn apart. It's not pretty.

Supplement:
- Acronym List
- FAQ on Forums

Disclaimer: This guide was written and provided to Mayhem members on volunteer basis. I, and other contributors, are not directly affiliated with ModelMayhem.com, its parent entity, or its subsidiaries.

Notes to other MM survivors:
If you have other survival tips, please feel free to provide them in the form of a reply. I will continue to add to this guide per your suggestion. I also reserve the right to choose which tips to include. Thanks in advance.

Hello everyone! My name is MissDistress. I'm not sure if I'm posting this properly-clearly I'm new to this site. I'm an experienced model, from pin up work to tastefully done nudes & lingerie shoots. I do charge an hourly rate, but will consider trade or whatever promotion is involved in the shoot. If you'd like to work with me, feel free to contact me. I have quite a few shoots coming up soon, but I have a lot of free time. I live in Ventura. Although I have a mohawk now (I cut all my hair off to donate to locks for life) I can wear wigs for any retro or pin-up style work, as is shown in one of the photos on my profile. Hopefully I can meet people on here I can work with, either for buisness or to build my portfolio! (I also hope I posted this correctly!) Feel free to contact me via my page! As soon as I can I'll be upgrading my profile so I can add more pictures.....I really don't feel like 15 photos shows enough variety in the shoots I've done. Hope to get to know & work with some of you!   : )

No, but seriously, thank you SO much for posting this, i Like to see how some experienced members are interested in helping those who've just started, and also i think it will open eyes to those who are new to forums/communities in general and act like fools, make senseless posts and end up gaining a bad reputation that is usually hard to get rid of.
I'm new, and I'm not exactly the best example of a great MMer, but at least i'm trying my best to show that i'm a person with more than 3 brain cells. i'm here to learn, and will follow this thread!

once again, thank you, and i can't wait to see more tips.

Agreed!

Although I am not technically new, I really have no clue how to really use this site. I finally set up the photos and but do not know how to request friends. I am a costume designer, fashion stylist and an upcoming makeup artist.

I would like to do photo shoots so if anyone is in LA then please contact me and lets work together.

Also known as forum junkies. Bunnies are lovable creatures who hop from one forum to the other. They post playful, and often meaningless, posts. They post all the time, and they multiply. Bunnies are mostly harmless, but in large number, they can still easily overrun any newbie.

That is the cutest thing....ever >< :Hops:
