My name is Stewart and I've been living in NYC/Brooklyn for the past three years. Before that I was living in Los Angeles shooting for magazines such as Flaunt, Nylon and others. I gained most of my experience assisting photographers such as Jill Greenberg, Andrew Macpherson, Miles Aldridge, Yu Tsai, Gavin Bond and many more. Over the course of six years I got to work on shoots ranging from advertising jobs like Victoria's Secret, to editorial jobs like GQ, Spin, Arena, Marie Claire, InStyle, Cosmo, Men's Health, Women's Health to high fashion shoots for Italian Vogue, French Vogue, Korean Vogue, Russian Vogue, Numero, V Magazine and many more.

I started shooting parties and friends at night and found that my style was more like Terry Richardson's — hard light flash and the subject matter was not very tasteful to say the least. I started to shape my style using more stylized lighting that I had been perfecting on set for numerous photographers and wanted to create moments in time that were somewhat surreal. I fell in love with the female form and searched for ways to represent the body in a way that was different from art school nudes to modern playboy and more of a natural approach much like older playboys that incorporated more natural light into the compositions. I also began experimenting with studio light and found a combination of styles that I could blend with the natural light compositions.

The pictures that I've put on this site are from some of the initial shoots that I did a five to seven years ago before moving to NYC. I put professional shooting on the shelf for a few years to focus on a career in advertising as an art director. I went back to school for a Master's degree and after a couple years of working I am focusing on my photography and looking to rebuild my book. I'm hoping that through this site I can find models that can assist in making this happen so feel free to reach out if you like what you see.
