I'm Jax. I created my photography company Jaxx Victoria Photography back in 2006, starting with Pin-ups. Since then I've been teaching myself things about cameras, photography, Photoshop, etc... I plan to take classes this fall and am constantly planning new shoots all day in my head. I'm very detail oriented so if you want a shoot please have in mind as much detail as possible. I currently have two series projects I'm working on. One is called Human, the other is called Ink. Both are free to sit for but no prints are included.

Human is about the similarities everyone holds... All my life I've had a love for the human form. In all it's shapes and sizes, it's the one thing in my life that has consistently been both the most fascinating and the most beautiful thing I have ever seen and studied. How it works, why it works the way it does, how it ages, how it begins... And most of all, how it looks on the outside. In this way, I will admit I am superficial. But not in the same manner as most... My judgements over how anyone looks comes from the way I would portray the beauty of it to anyone else. The flaws you may see sticking out like a sore thumb in the mirror? Those are probably the things I would find most beautiful about you. And all of this stems from my own scars... And my inability to find the beauty everyone else claims they find in me. Human is meant to bridge that gap. For me and everyone else. I want to show everyone else what I see... That underneath it all, while we may be shaped differently, and we may be colored differently, come from different backgrounds, think differently... When you strip everything away and leave everyone bare... We're all flawed and we're all made up of the same things. We're all just... Human. To sit for Human you must be comfortable with being nude in front of me as well as being in implied-nude photos that WILL be posted to an album on my portfolio on Facebook.

The Ink series is dedicated to beautiful works of tattoo art. Ink is something I've dedicated my life to since the first moment the needle touched me at 15 (almost 16.) Since then, my ink collection had significantly grown, as has my love for the ink everyone else has chosen to dedicate themselves to. I want to show the beauty of ink and how it is no longer something seen as degenerate or ugly, but as something positive and beautiful. I want to take the taboo and stigma against tattoos and tear it to shreds, only to rebuild it with the beauty that truly lies within each individual work of art. To sit for Ink, you must have at least 3 large [as in the size of a grapefruit or larger] colorful tattoos. There are no other requirements.
