Looking for a stylist:
I am looking for stylists to work with on projects.  I am looking for fashion / editorial experience and someone who has access to outfits etc, oh, and a collaborative and easy going approach to work.

Paying Models:
This is really simple.  Yes, I pay models with experience.  Models work and you get paid to work.  In our first exchange of emails we will determine and agree on rates and then everything else like time, place, concept etc.

Trust this ends the confusion.

Lets talk about latex.  Latex is a material it is not a genre of photography.  Some think its a prelude to some kinky fetish.  Fetish can be shot wearing cotton and wool.  You can do high fashion in latex as Madonna and many other Hollywood A listers have recently demonstrated.  Get over labelling latex fetish.

These days I am experimenting a lot with speed lights, gels and shadows.

When you flip through pictures, a magazine, a models book, what ever...what I want is for you to turn back.  What is it in that picture that makes you think or wonder?  What is it that makes you return and have a second look.  Is it the look?  Is it the wonderful smile of the model?   Perhaps the lithe body?  Perhaps the gown, the dress, perhaps it is a fitted Channel outfit? 

I don't care.  What I want, is that moment that can get people to look back at that picture.

Kick in the Pants
Another model bails on me.  We had talked / emailed a lot and went through the usual details like date, studio, rates, looks.  I had a studio for a day, MUA, stylist lined up.  As time got closer, she went into radio silence.  She finally told me that getting the money together for the flight was a problem.  We we first spoke tickets were £130 and now £500.  I told her to build the flight into her fees / time which we had previously agreed on.

July 16 2011.  I was supposed to shoot a model today.  We agreed to shoot in a hotel because she is traveling today and shooting in a hotel would maximise shooting time as opposed to a studio.  Any ways, she calls me to tell me that she is running late about 10min to have breakfast.  OK, I wait in the bar.  At 10:14am she texts nearly done with breakfast.  At 10:19am she texts have to cancel the shoot; feeling ill.  Funny, sounded fine when she called me earlier.  Calling either the room or her cell was futile.  I assume she chose to ignore it. Oh, the shoot was scheduled for 10am.

not amused.


Well, for the first time I had a model flake out on me.  Frick.

Wow, for the second time I have had a model flake out on me Saturday 9 October.  Morning session of four hours in a studio and...nada, zip, zilch an absolute no show, no contact, no email.  Funny enough the studio owner said very good things about the model and now has to rethink.  This wasn't even a TF session, I was paying the model.  Double frick.
